How It Started

The Story

MatricAce started with a frustration shared by millions of South African students: too many generic study apps that don't understand the NSC, and too few affordable tools that actually match how the DBE sets exams.

We set out to build something different — something that speaks the language of South African education. Something that a student in a rural school in Limpopo can use just as effectively as one in a private school in Sandton.

Today MatricAce covers 27+ subjects across Grade 10, 11 and 12, with over 10,000 CAPS-aligned practice questions, AI-powered tutoring, full mock exams, smart flashcards, and a complete teacher dashboard system for schools.

Abdullah came to South Africa and was inspired by the drive and resilience of South African students at every level of the education system. Seeing the gap between what students deserved and what was available, he built MatricAce alone — from scratch, one line of code at a time.
